Our post today celebrates the wedding of Emma and Chris, who were married at the cool, quirky and intimate Ticehurst based pub The Bell, in East Sussex. The creative decor at the venue laid the foundations for their day, which was fun, relaxed and memorable, with botanical themed florals with luscious greenery, ferns and succulents.
Emma wore the stunning 'Rosa' dress by Suzanne Neville, made from the most beautifully subtle floral print fabric, with a perfectly fitted bodice with built in corset. The dress flows out from the waist into a full, swishy A-line skirt for a romantic silhouette.

Suzanne Neville Rosa wedding dress
In the end I chose the beautiful ‘Rosa’ dress by Suzanne Neville. When Corinne first passed it to me, I wasn’t sure but wow, when I put it on I fell in love instantly. I loved the way the skirt moved with me so perfectly and how the amazing corsetry of Suzanne’s dress gave me a waist I never thought I could have! I felt so beautiful in it and I knew from that moment - it was the one for me!
I bought my mum and one of my bridesmaids along with me when I finally found ‘Rosa’. From the moment I stepped out of the dressing room, both their faces lit up and I knew they loved it.
Dress Shopping
I stood in the chapel doorway with the light pouring in and the sun caught the flowers on the organza skirt and we all squealed. This was the one! It was just so beautiful and elegant.
I had been to a couple of shops before and as nice as they were they didn’t have a patch on Miss Bush.
The Chapel itself is so special and unique. The service I received from everyone was fabulous and Jo, the seamstress, put me at ease when all my fittings began and I was so excited to visit every time!
Styling
As my dress had a beautiful floral pattern I wanted to keep it very simple. I had seen the Miss Clemmie accessories at Miss Bush and I therefore chose the lovely jewel eyed earrings for my day along with something I’ve always wanted, a pair of Jimmy Choo’s! I went for the Romy viola mix design and I danced in them all night long!
A fun, memorable pub wedding at The Bell, Ticehurst
The Bell in Ticehurst is seriously quirky and therefore you don’t need much in the way of decorations to make the venue stand out. My main focus was flowers and greenery. I am a real flower lover (hence the choice of dress in the end) so we had a beautiful arch made for our ceremony. I had my dream bouquet with David Austin roses and peonies followed by a botanical theme for our tables with terrariums filled with ferns and succulents. The flowers blew me away!
The best bits
It’s hard to say what my favourite part of the day was however, that feeling of walking down the aisle with all my friends and family watching and seeing Chris waiting for me I think will always be the most I will treasure forever. It’s such a special moment and one I will never, ever forget.
Emma's Advice
When dress shopping my advice would be to try everything on even if you don’t initially love it. Just try it. I always imagined having a lace armed dress but what I chose in the end was the total opposite. It’s not until you try, you realise what works for you.
Lastly, we had a wedding cake table with 12 different cakes for the picking! So why have one cake when you can have 12 - everyone loved it and we had so much left over to enjoy the next day with our friends and family chatting about the day.
