Ever since we saw a sneak peak from Francesca and Steven's wedding on Anna Fowler Photography's Instagram a couple of months ago we've been so excited to see more. Frankie looked sensational in her Suzanne Neville Elegance wedding dress, which was one of the very last samples of this dress in the UK and was brought in especially for Frankie to try. The showstopping strapless ballgown was most perfect choice for her classic, elegant wedding to Steven, which took place at Elmore Court in Gloucestershire, and made for some incredible portraits around the house and gardens.

Read on to see all of the gorgeous images by Anna Fowler Photography, and read more about the dress and day in Frankie's own words.

Suzanne Neville Elegance wedding dress

I love that it is so simple but still has drama with the length of the train. I also wanted to go for a timeless dress which I would still love when I look back in 20 years years. I customised the fabric too as wanted the smooth look.

Dress Shopping

I actually tried on every other Suzanne Neville and Jesus Peiro dress (and about 100 others) bar Elegance, because it wasn’t current season and the sample wasn’t available any more at Miss Bush. I had images saved of it on my phone and I just kept thinking about it as the others didn’t come close. Dress hunting was fun at first but then the stress set in as I couldn’t decide!

Emma scoured the country for the last remaining sample of elegance and had it couriered over so that I could try it, and it was the last dress I ever tried!

Styling

I chose gold strappy Giuseppe zanotti sandals so that I could wear them again… I didn’t want to go for a traditional white pointed bridal pump. I had my hair down as I have so much of it (and I always wear it up at work) so I feel more “done” with it down! I decided to go with less is more so jewellery wise I had little droplet earrings, an eternity ring and then my wedding band and engagement ring. My veil was 12 ft long and custom made, embroidered with “Mr and Mrs Duff” at the edge to give it a modern feel!

An elegant June wedding at Elmore Court

Our venue was so stunning and really old - so we went with a very English theme. We originally wanted to get married in Italy but thank god we didn’t as we probably still wouldn’t be married due to Covid. Elmore Court moved our date twice and were so so accommodating.

I took inspiration from the royal wedding flower arch and wanted the flowers to be neutral with English roses, peonies and lots of wild greenery, just like an English flower garden. The day was so chilled, we had garden games outside, beer pong! And lots of food and wine!

The best bits

Seeing my husband waiting for me and shedding a tear at the end of the aisle! The first thing he said when I reached him was “wow… that’s NICE!!”

Frankie's Advice

Do exactly what you want to do and don’t listen to anybody else’s judgement. You’re the one who has to feel comfortable and look back at the photos in years to come. Don’t sweat the small stuff and go for gimmicks because ultimately on the day you will NOT notice how the napkins are folded or whether the macaroon on top of the cake is standing up or lying down!!
