In the glorious mid-May sunshine, Miss Bush bride Anna married husband Jack at the enchanting Usk Castle in Monmouthshire, Wales. The day was inspired by the rustic, romantic castle venue and the luscious Spring greenery surrounding the location, with tons of flowers and natural, home-made styling.
Anna opted for two super stylish Jesus Peiro outfits for her wedding, starting with one of our favourite ruffled beauties for the ceremony, Style 8042. With bold statement ruffles to the shoulders and a chic straight neckline, the dress was just perfect for the romantic feel of the day. Anna then changed for the evening, pairing Jesus Peiro's wide legged 206 trousers with the boxy marabou feather trimmed 268 top.

Jesus Peiro 8042 wedding dress
I loved the theatre of the dress, it felt fun and unique whilst also having a timeless elegance. I'm normally the one cooking in the catering tent at weddings so it was such fun to be dressed up and feeling glamorous!
Jesus Peiro 268 top and 206 bridal trousers
I knew that I wanted to spend most of the night dancing and this combination was absolutely perfect for that. I felt absolutely fabulous and free. A huge bonus was that Jack could fling me around the dancefloor without tripping over! I loved the feathers paired with the dramatic wide leg and I also love that I can wear both again in different formats.
Dress Shopping
I came to the chapel on my own as my bridesmaids were dotted around the globe at the time. Emma kindly took a photo and as soon as the girls saw it they knew it was the one.
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was finding the right dress and Emma's straight talking advice on picking it.
Trying the dresses on solo can be lonely and overwhelming as you don't have your tribe there for reassurance. Until arriving at Miss Bush I had not come across anything that felt like me - the dresses I'd tried on previously had made me feel like I was dressing up as a bride. The team were honest and showed me new styles that I had not considered that were much better suited to my personality and shape. They were all so helpful and friendly that I no longer felt I was making the decision alone.
Styling
I spent months searching for the perfect platform that I could wear again. A few weeks before the wedding I stumbled across Terry De Havilland and fell completely in love - on the day I took every chance I got to lift my dress up and show them off. They matched the style of the dress perfectly (though I did change them for dancing as I didn't want to break my ankle...)
A friend, Polly, lent me her beautiful star earrings from the ethical Kenyan brand Doa - my hair was super simple so they stood out and completed the look perfectly.
A rustic, romantic Spring wedding
It was a very home made affair. Although there was not a theme as such I wanted to highlight the glories of spring, especially the vibrant greens that are everywhere so my mum dug up ferns from around the garden, Farhill Flowers provided the blooms and our amazing friends and family decorated the marquee with greenery and vintage copper kitchen utensils/weighing scales/artichokes as Jack and I are both big food lovers. Being a chef I organised the food and we feasted like kings with grazing stations, canapés and a sit down meal with all the food being sourced as locally as possible.
We felt inspired by our surroundings and tried to keep everything in keeping with the romantic, rustic, whimsical Usk Castle.
The best bits
So hard to pick one but two that stand out are when Jack and I walked up into the Castle and got a birds eye view of all our friends and family together in one place, smiling, laughing, playing garden games and just generally creating the best vibe. The second would have to be on the dance floor, grooving to our favourite songs with our favourite people.
Anna's Advice
You may not go for the dress you had always imagined in your head and that is fine. Be open to trying new styles as this is most likely where you will find the one for you. Enjoy the process and don't get bogged down in details that don't matter - noone on the day will notice the colour of the napkins!
