Astrid and Tom's wedding day was a beautiful Autumnal celebration at Gate Street Barn in Bramley, Surrey, taking place in late November. The feel of the day was warm and rustic, with a rich orange colour palette, twinkling fairy lights and lots of rustic touches.
Astrid wore a Miss Bush special custom wedding dress, based on Jesus Peiro 2214. Starting with the 2214 square neckline, the dress features wide shoulder straps, a square open back and a full, romantic skirt with pockets. Astrid styled her look with classic pearl jewellery, pearl hair accessories and a stunning ribbon edged veil to complement the dress.

A Jesus Peiro wedding dress
My dress was a custom Jesus Peiro 2214 designed by Ben during my first appointment. I loved that it was a classic bridal silhouette but the square neckline made it feel more modern. I felt exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day - beautiful but also myself!
Dress Shopping
For my first appointment I bought along my mum and grandmother who are both notoriously fussy! In previous shops they had made clear their opinions so I knew if they liked something it must be special. As my dress was a special I didn't see it come together until my first fitting but had full faith of how it would look. Both of their reactions seeing the final product were amazing.
I absolutely loved playing dress up in all of the different styles! I had no fixed image of what I wanted so it was fun to see different shapes and styles.
The only issue I felt nervous about was when I first had my measurements taken I was breastfeeding and had finished by the time of my first fitting. I was conscious my bust was now much smaller and that this may alter the appearance of the dress. Luckily Jo was fabulous in coming up with a solution and giving me the appearance of a slightly fuller bust. This is where I feel Miss Bush excelled, the fit was flawless.
Styling
I had a Jesus Peiro veil which was so simple but beautiful. The shoes were just ASOS I'm afraid and I managed to keep them on the dancefloor! I wore a simple pearl necklace and earrings gifted by my mum. In the evening I put on a pearl headband which I actually got second hand from Vinted (Obsessed with this)!
About the Day
As we chose to get married in November we embraced the autumn theme. This was reflected in colour palate and also the rustic feeling of the barn at Gate Street. I used old gin bottles filled with fairly lights to light the barn for the evening and my talented friend did all our of calligraphy. Our florist did a beautiful job of tying in all of the colours and textures.
The best bits
My favourite part of the day was without doubt the speeches! We bucked tradition by having both of our mums make a speech and it was so lovely to let the women take the mic. They spoke from the heart whilst simultaneously telling the most embarrassing stories- everyone loved it
Astrid's Advice
My advice to brides would be to trust the experts. I was happy to be led by Ben in my first appointment and he got me to try several styles that I wouldn't have picked out myself. I remember saying that it would be perfect to have the skirt of one dress and top of another, Ben told me that was possible! I hadn't considered that I would walk away with something custom but love the fact no one else has my dress.
