On Sunday, we hosted the first of our two 'Black Friday Experience Days,' which were part of our treats and upgrades that were offered to brides who brought from us during our Black Friday promotion.

The days were designed as a ‘thank you’ for choosing Miss Bush. Brides were treated to a bottomless brunch and the chance to hang out at the chapel in a fun, informal environment, doing workshops, being pampered and getting to know the team better!

Read on to see all of the photos from the event, captured by the ever fabulous Hayley Bray from Hayley B Weddings.

If you were one of our Black Friday brides and didn't RSVP there are a few places left for the next one on 16th February - email us for the details!

The Chapel archway

Ali from Mad Lilies brought the promise of Spring to Ripley for the event, with a showstopping display of tulips from English flower farm Smith and Munson adorning the chapel archway. With tulips in shades of pink, peach and plum purple, with vibrant green foliage, the resulting floral installation was a luxurious, colourful explosion of beautiful flowers which couldn't help bring a smile to the faces of everyone who walked through! We love how Ali and the team at Mad Lilies try to make the chapel as creative and different as possible each time they work on the chapel arch, and this display completely blew us away!

Styling

This event was styled by the lovely Susie from Susie Evans With Love (who has recently had a new reband and website - make sure you take a look!) who continued the luxurious Spring vibe inside the chapel. With more incredible floral displays from Mad Lilies, which included an extravagant Spring meadow exploding from the front of our top table set up, Susie brought together opulent, high end, elegant styling to inspire our visiting brides. The table setting was a glossy display of golds and cut glass, with gilded cutlery, luxury glassware from Couvert and handcrafted artisan calligraphy and stationery from ERA Calligraphy.

Susie also commissioned the most incredible cake from Gaya's Cakes to complement the Spring theme, which was a stunning 3 tier creation with a contemporary pink and purple ombre finish, adorned with more bold spring flowers.

Food and Drink

The bottomless brunch from Two Many Cooks was an absolute treat! The prosecco was flowing freely and was just perfect to wash down the delicious bite sized morsels that were in constant circulation. Amongst other tasty canapes, guests enjoyed dainty salmon blinis, buttery flapjacks, and delicious yogurt and granola pots. Our favourites had to be the perfectly seasoned mini avocado crostino - so good!

Pampering

It wouldn't be a Miss Bush event without our hair and beauty A-Team! As usual, the back room atelier was transformed into a beauty boudoir, with Carolanne Armstrong and Sharon Roberts in attendance to offer tips, advice and mini trials to our brides, with plenty of accessories to hand for trying on and experimenting with.

As an extra special treat for this event, we also enlisted the help of our local Weleda Wellness Advisor, Nisha Jani. Miss Bush have partnered with Weleda frequently over the past few years so it was an absolute delight to have one of their experts in the house to provide wellness and pampering! All brides who booked in with Nisha enjoyed hand and foot massages, all performed using Weleda's beautiful products, as well as skincare and wellness advice. Perfect for relieving a little wedding planning stress!

Workshop

Calligrapher Ellie from ERA Calligrapher was up on the chapel Mezzanine putting on two of her wonderful Calligraphy Workshops. Brides and their guests had a great time learning the basics of this ancient craft, and Ellie was the perfect teacher to introduce them to the tools and tricks of the trade.

Downstairs in the main chapel showroom, Ali, Susie and Miss Bush MD Emma hosted the styling and planning clinics, talking through some of the inspiration and looks that had been created for the event as well as answering questions from brides.

Beautiful Things

February is the first month of our partnership with The Wedding Present Company, who have taken over the display boxes in the chapel to bring a little piece of their Chelsea showroom to Ripley. Georgie and the team have curated an intriguing selection of stylish pieces from their catalogue - we're already making our own imaginary wish list in our heads!

There was also a Pop Up from Made Your Day, a company launched by one of our brides, the lovely Victoria, who has created her own nightwear collection. Victoria's pieces include luxurious robes, pyjamas and accessories in beautiful botanical prints. They also come monogrammed for a lovely personal touch and are just perfect for brides and their entourages to wear whilst getting ready. They're ethically made and so reasonably priced too - go take a look!
