Hello! Welcome to our feature today, which showcases Caroline and James’ stunning wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey. Caroline wore the timeless, elegant Nouveau by Suzanne Neville, which was perfectly fitted and finished off with a glamorous feather stole to keep warm for their November wedding day.

NOUVEAU BY SUZANNE NEVILLE

I went for Suzanne Neville, Nouveau made to measure, but without the pleated arms and a crepe skirt instead of the pleated skirt. I loved the simplicity of it. I think it is a dress that just speaks for itself without the need for any detail. I have always been a big fan of a bardot neckline. It fit perfectly and I felt so elegant.

DRESS SHOPPING

My Mum and Sister can shopping with me – Mum cried!!

Dress shopping is the first time you really feel like a bride and it is a very special moment to share with family. The team at Miss Bush make you feel so at ease. Emma has an incredible eye – I would never have picked the Nouveau off the rack but thankfully she suggested it. And Jo the seamstress is amazing – she makes sure you feel absolutely perfect. I felt in very good hands!

STYLING

My dress was simple and elegant and I wanted to keep it that way. So I wore pearl drop earrings, and a pearl and silver hair clip from Ivory & Co as I wore my hair up to show off the bardot neckline. As it was a winter wedding I added a feather stole, and my veil was Miss Bush’s long “Emma” veil with ribbon edging which looked beautiful from the back. Last but not least my shoes were gold and sparkly by Stuart Weitzman to add a bit of glitz!

TRADITIONAL ELEGANCE AT GREAT FOSTERS

I wanted a traditional and elegant wedding. We got married in a church, followed by the reception at Great Fosters in Egham, Surrey with about 140 guests. As it was a winter wedding the barn at Great Fosters with dark oak panelling, log fires and beautiful lighting made for a lovely setting. My bridesmaids wore forest green and the flowers were all white and green with a silvery touch in the church urns. James and his ushers looked super smart in their morning suits.

I was so nervous getting ready but the moment I was in my Miss Bush dress I felt calm and ready to go! It is the only day you feel that beautiful and surrounded by all the people you love. It was perfect for us. James and I wish we could do it all over again!

THE BEST BITS

It is very hard to pick one! I loved the ceremony at the church seeing James for the first time, saying our vows and singing hymns. And the speeches as it gave me a moment to just take the day all in.

ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE

Have an open mind. I definitely went in with an idea of what I wanted and quickly found out it did not suit me at all.

As for wedding planning, try and enjoy every second of it as the wedding day absolutely flies by!
