We have a stunning international wedding to share with today, with Miss Bush bride Erica marrying Marco in Sydney. The wedding took place with the incredible Sydney Harbour as a backdrop, with the ceremony taking place at St Joan of Arc, Haberfield followed by a reception at View by Sydney, Walsh Bay.

Erica wore Anna Kara's beautiful Chey wedding dress, a delicate gown made from soft tulle covered in intricate embroidered vines and leaves. She styled her look with a chic and elegant low ponytail along with timeless pearl earrings and a classic bouquet in shades of deep red and rich greens.

An Anna Kara wedding dress

I chose Chey by Anna Kara. I LOVED my wedding dress, it was such a romantic & elegant dress with an incredible neckline and beautiful tulle. I felt like such a princess and received so many compliments on the dress. I'm so happy that I found my dream dress at Miss Bush <3 I also changed into a different dress for the reception and went with an Australian designer, Prea James from Lovely Bride.

Dress Shopping

I came to Miss Bush on numerous occasions to try on the dress, I brought my sister-in-law who was visiting from the USA & a very close friend along to the fittings and facetimed my mum & sister in Australia. Everyone that saw the dress, fell in love and knew that it was the perfect dress for me!

I enjoyed trying on various brands but knew that I wanted an Anna Kara dress the minute I tried them on - such beautiful designs! I enjoyed the whole process and even though it was stressful at times not having my mum and sister close by, the team at Miss Bush always made me feel special!

Styling

I went with a loose curl pony-tail and romantic make-up and styled my dress with pearl earrings and a turquoise stone bracelet from Tiffany!

About the Day

I've always dreamt of planning my wedding day and after 10 years with my partner, it was such an extraordinary feeling to plan our special day. We wanted the wedding to have small pieces of us as a couple and share our love story and love of travel! We went with rustic themes & lots of foliage and greenery / candles to set the scene at the reception. We had an illuminated initial backdrop behind the bridal table and wooden place cards along with a Krispy Kreme donut tower and cities we'd travelled to as our table numbers. We lived abroad in London for 4 years and wanted to add this to our day by organising a London taxi as our transport! We had 2 maid of honours & 2 best men who helped make the day extra special and our 4 amazing nephews as our page boys & beautiful niece as our flower girl!

The best bits

Our favourite part of the day was celebrating with our closest family & friends who we hadn't seen in over 2 years! We couldn't stop smiling and had so much fun on the dancefloor!

Erica's Advice

Trust the process! There's so much effort and time that goes into planning one single day, it's over in the blink of an eye so enjoy the wedding planning journey and trust your judgement!
