We're sharing Isabel and Stuart's delightful Summer wedding today, which took place in Petersham at the picturesque St Peter's Church with a traditional, elegantly styled reception afterwards at Ham Polo Club in Richmond.
Isabel's day was the perfect match for her Jesus Peiro 8004 wedding dress, which suited the relaxed but classic feel of the day perfectly.

Jesus Peiro 8004 wedding dress
l wanted a traditional dress which wasn't too conservative so I chose the Jesus Peiro 8004 which met the brief perfectly. It looked beautiful from all angles and I loved how it nipped me in at the waist. Despite having many elements (large petticoat, thick waistband, satin, lace, sleeves etc.), none detracted from each other, there was a certain simplicity and romance about it.
Jo kindly put not one but two hoops in the petticoat which meant I could glide along effortlessly, it also kept the dress away from my legs which I was really grateful for as temperatures reached 30 degrees on the day!
Perhaps rather unconventionally, both of my parents came along to choose the dress. Having two opinions was invaluable and I think we all knew it was 'the one' when I first tried it on.
Dress Shopping
Miss Bush was the third shop I'd been to and was beginning to despair having tried on a dozen dresses and not remotely liking any of them. In my first appointment I tried on five dresses (mostly Jesus Peiro), they were all so lovely that I'd honestly have been happy getting married in any one of them.
Emma, Rosie, Corinne and Jo were all so welcoming each time we visited, I had their undivided attention and honest opinions throughout fittings. They all clearly take great pride in what they do and took tremendous care in the production of the dress.
Styling
My mother kindly lent me some diamond earrings and the family tiara which is Victorian, both of which she wore on her wedding day. My grandmother sadly couldn't manage the journey from Wales but she sent some sprigs of blossom from her orange tree which was grown from my 4 x great aunt's wedding bouquet in 1878. The blossom was in my bouquet, as it was in my mother's and grandmother's - hopefully a tradition to continue for years to come.
A summer wedding at Ham Polo Club
Isabel and Stuart were married in late August at St.Peter's Church, Petersham, followed by an elegant but relaxed reception at Ham Polo Club in Richmond. Decorated with plenty of beautiful fresh flowers with roses in shades of soft pale pink accented with delicate Gypsophila, the wedding was traditional, classic and beautiful, with lots of personal touches to make the day extra special.
The best bits
The church service was magical, another highlight was being driven into Ham Polo Club on a vintage fire engine by my brother Freddie.
