We're so delighted to share this gorgeous Spring wedding with you today! Ash & Jessy were married last June at All Saints' Church in Ockham, followed by a relaxed, intimate garden party at home.
Jessy wore one of our favourite dresses from the 2019 Heritage Collection, the stunning Jesus Peiro Crisalida (also known as Style 982) which features beautiful ruffled statement shoulders and an elegant a-line skirt all made from the most beautiful printed floral fabric. We love that Jessy styled it with the black belt, as seen on the catwalk at Barcelona, along with a delicate hairpiece from Miss Clemmie adorning her loose natural up-do.

Jesus Peiro Crisalida 982 wedding dress
The print is incredible and it feels like an instant party. I loved it.
My Mum initially came with me to appointments and my Sister was on Zoom. When COVID hit it was a little strange, but I felt really reassured by the Miss Bush team and coming to an appointment alone didn't feel as scary as I initially thought it would.
Dress Shopping
I loved when my Mum saw it for the first time, we knew instantly and while we tried on a fair few others we had such a fun time and it was so very clear that we'd found the one. Corrine was wonderful! As were the rest of the team.
We were up against it time wise, with my wedding still taking place when COVID was in full swing. That said, the team were calm and collected when we hit a fitting bump and we had it sorted in no time. I really appreciated how focused everyone was - it really helped when we were mid-planning for our fourth venue switch!
Styling
I wanted to keep my hair and make-up beautifully simple. So my hair was in a classic chignon and my make-up was dewy but not too heavy. I chose a hair piece from Miss Clemmie which was beautifully whimsical and matched the dress perfectly. I then paired it with Monica Vinader earrings which I can wear time and time again.
My best friends bought me a beautiful chain from Missoma for my 30th so I wore that as my something old as it felt like they were with me on the day. Blinking restrictions meant they couldn't all be there - they were on zoom though and they threw a mini party at one of their houses which meant a huge amount.
My now husband then bought me a surprise bangle to match the earrings which was a really kind and unexpected present!
For my shoes, I went with some Castaner wedges. They're so comfortable and fitted in with the Spanish feel of my dress.
A relaxed garden party wedding at home
While we missed everyone, there isn't a dot we would have changed. It was so incredible to be together and in some ways magical as we'd managed to plan a wedding against all odds!
The order for the day was relaxed, we took our time with every element to make we all eased back into a party. We also planned to not talk about COVID, with anyone who went close to the topic having to donate to the Alzheimer's Society. That brought a real sense of enjoyment and levity to the event and we honestly couldn't have faulted it.
We were originally getting married at RHS Wisley in the glasshouse so flowers were incredibly important to us. We managed to bring lots of elements of the garden into the tent with Alice from MeadowFolk and Fresh Catering creating our very own mini wonderland. Our suppliers were incredible.
The best bits
Our Vicar (Hugh Grear) came up with an idea to have champagne outside of the church. It was so special to see so many faces in the sunshine and it really made it real. Getting out of the car at Jessy's parent's house as a married couple with our friends and family around us was glorious too - smiles are so precious.
Jessy's Advice
I worked with Corrine at Miss Bush to try on lots of different styles when I started dress shopping. It really helped me to see what worked and what didn't - plus, it's really fun! When you find the one, try on a few more and then trust it.
For planning, we planned to re-plan and then re-planned three times over. COVID was a real challenge, but we're much stronger for it. Our main saying was 'keep going forwards' and to be honest, it paid off!
