Jen and James were married on a glorious Spring day in May, with a traditional church ceremony at St Edburga in Leigh, Worcestershire. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated their marriage at a beautifully styled reception located in the picturesque gardens of the bride's grandparent's house in Alfrick Pound. The gardens became the inspiration behind the day, with the traditional canvas tent marquee filled with exquisite flowers.

Jen wore two incredible outfits from Jesus Peiro. The first look for the ceremony and wedding breakfast was the Jesus Peiro 2303 wedding dress; with its full ballgown skirt, fitted bodice with v-neckline and statement bow to the waist, this is an inimitably classic look from Jesus Peiro. The dress was made in gorgeous textured sushi taffeta, finished with Jesus Peiro's signature pockets. Jen styled her dress with iconic Hangisi heels from Manolo Blahnik in emerald green, along with one of Daisy Sheldon's magnificent embroidered heirloom veils, covered in delicate wildflower motifs. To complete the look, Jen added pearl hairpins from Miss Clemmie.

After the classic, regal gown, Jen wanted to change into something more fun for the evening celebration, opting for Jesus Peiro's 2234 wide leg palazzo trousers with the 268 feather trimmed top.

Read on to find out more about both of Jen's looks, and her wonderful countryside wedding to James.

Jesus Peiro 2303 wedding dress + 2234/268 evening outfit

The first outfit was the Jesus Peiro 2303. I felt so regal and classic in this - and it had the most delicious fabric! And to top it all off, a bow. Just love at first sight. First dress I tried on (and I tried on A LOT) and it was the one I came back to.Then second, dancing outfit, was the Jesus Peiro 2234 trousers with the 268 topThis was such a fun outfit to dance the night away in - and also caused a real stir when I changed a surprise and came back into the marquee singing with the band.

Dress Shopping

So the first time I came to Miss Bush, I came on my own, and rang my sister in France on the Zoom system. Then, the second time, I came with my bridesmaids and my mum, which was so fun! They all absolutely loved the shop, the experience and of course, the outfits.I loved each and every moment at Miss Bush - with the whole team.I actually found shopping for a wedding dress quite stressful, as you are bombarded with different styles and vibes online. But, Emma was amazing and put me right at ease and just has the most epic eye for what suits each bride. I felt right at home.

Styling

First things first - Manolos - Hangisi - the classics in green. They were the first part of my wedding outfit that I bought, so they had to work with whatever dress I chose. For my other accessories, I actually picked them up at an accessories event at Miss Bush. I met the lovely Clemmie, who made my hair accessories, which were a wonderful mix of fresh water and round pearls. I also met Daisy Sheldon at the event, who crafted the most beautiful bespoke embroidered veil for me, with lavender and wildflower motifs across the edge. It's amazing! My close friend and extremely talented organic hairdresser, Tabitha James-Kraan, did my hair and make-up on the day, which we kept very natural and soft. We wanted to keep the focus on the incredible dress and evening outfit I had chosen (and the shoes of course).

A garden party wedding in Worcestershire

Our day was all about my grandparent's garden. They open it to the public and it is a complete English Garden idle. From the word go, the whole day and experience was a complete lesson in family and friends pulling together in the most beautiful setting to create an amazing weekend. Our church was actually the church where Jen was christened, so it was amazing for some family members to be back there again 30-odd years later. We kept everything as local and beautifully green as possible, so decorated inside the church with gorgeous candles and swathes of ivy on the window sills and up the aisle. A very talented friend, Ruby (Behind the Wall Flowers), did all our flowers, which she grows herself, and her milk churns arrangements at the church entrance were spectacular. We had a family friend (the retired Bishop of Bath and Wells) officiate the service for us, which made it so unbelievably personal - a real theme for the whole day - and our two Black Labradors come up the aisle with Jen and her bridesmaids (her two best friends and sister). Jen's mum is the MD of an orchestra, and some of the players kindly serenaded us in the church, during the signing of the register (with a medley composed for the day), and to accompany our choir of friends and family. So many people gave their time and unbelievable talent, and we are so grateful. We were driven to The Mill (Jen's grandparent's house) for the reception in a one of a kind car, painstakingly hand-restored by a close family friend for the day. It is one of the first 10 original Land Rover defenders to ever come off the production line, so this was an unbelievable treat. And they hid a chilled bottle of champagne in the back for us!!On arrival at The Mill, guests were greeted with THE most amazing canapes in the South West (we may be biased), beautifully crafted by Kelly and her team at Pink Pineapple Events. Think edible flowers, and gold-leafed quail eggs - they were out of this world. We had an LPM Bohemia traditional canvas tent on the lawn, framed by the garden's incredible foliage, and thanks to the incredible weather, we had the sides up for the entire reception. Miracle really, in May! One of the highlights, or so many of our guests have told us, was our really unique 'Bluebelle' boat bar from China Grey, which was 'in dry dock' at the side of the water, serving champagne and delicious cocktails all day. James is a keen sailor, so this was an homage to his family's passion for the sea.As dinner was served, guests filed into the marquee to the sound of a cow bell Jen had brought back from her travels to Everest the year before. The marquee was filled to the gunnels with phenomenal flowers and installations from Ruby, all tied together with a mix of modern and vintage lighting from the Little Lighting Company. The effect was unforgettable - and with the sides of the marquee up, it was as if a roof was floating in the green sea of the quintessential English garden. As speeches and dinner were enjoyed, and the music from Truly Medley Deeply began to play, sunset fell and the garden, which was lit in shades of green, white and lilac, became the real icon. Some even missed Jen's outfit change and surprise song with the band as they were too busy wandering around the garden! With everyone dancing into the night, and the family dogs falling asleep by the cheese table, the incredible day came to a close. If we do say so ourselves, a wedding for the ages, only made possible by the unbelievably talented people we have around us. Thank you to them all!

The best bits

Stopping for a second before we entered the marquee. We sat on a bench on a small hill and watched everyone having a fab time in the marquee as the sun fell. It was such an amazing feeling to be sat there together taking it all in, and breathing for a moment. Idyllic!

Jen's Advice

Just be cool, calm and collected! Whatever happens, you will have the most wonderful day and look incredible. Remember, everyone is there because they love you - and it is the most wonderful feeling. Enjoy!
