We absolutely love a London wedding, and Molly and Conor's day is the perfect example of a chic, classic, elegant wedding in our beautiful capital city. The day took place at two iconic locations, starting with a ceremony at Chelsea Old Church, followed by a wedding breakfast and reception at The Belgravia. As the Events Director for renowned London caterers, Doggart and Squash, the bride enlisted her team to provide a delightful three course menu for their guests. The décor had a subtle festive feel in keeping with the December wedding day, with rich burgundy, soft pink and deep green florals alongside romantic glittering candlelight. For a special touch, the bride and groom asked guests to bring a decoration for their Christmas tree.

Molly looked incredible in Jesus Peiro's 2403 wedding dress. This gown features a full skirt with pockets and strapless cupped bodice, in luxurious Regina satin. The dress is finished with an elegant overtop with sleek straight neckline. Molly customised the dress with the addition of bracelet length floaty chiffon puff sleeves, as seen on style 2350.

Jesus Peiro 2403 wedding dress with 2350 sleeves

When I first came to Miss Bush, I came on my own as I have 2 brilliant but very opinionated women in my life!!! So I wanted to let them know what the options were rather than all of us working it out together. My mum then came to the next fitting and my sister then also came to the others. One of my bridesmaids then came with me to collect the dress and have the final fitting. They all absolutely loved the dress and as it all started to come together they saw exactly why I loved the dress so much.

I absolutely loved coming to the chapel. Corinne was a total dream to work with and she was actually the reason I ended up choosing the dress that I did. I had thought I wanted something totally different but she said 'why don't you just try this on' and I did and that's where the vision starting coming together!

Styling

I let the dress do the taking really, i had a gorgeous veil, really simple that worked perfectly with the dress, my shoes were pretty simple also. they did have a great gold heel though! i then changed into green velvet platforms for the dancing! The earrings i wore were the same earrings as my mum had worn on her wedding day which was so special.

A chic London wedding with a festive feel

The day was lightly Christmas themed I would say, but not too much themed around it. Our amazing florist Lex Hamilton (Lex Hamilton Floral Studio) nailed the brief and created the most incredible floral arrangements featuring dark colours that went perfectly with our aubergine tablecloths. We also had a 10ft Christmas tree at our venue that we asked all of our guests to bring and hang a Christmas decoration on so that looked amazing!

The best bits

Gosh that is so hard to say! I just loved the entire thing really - being in the industry I didn't know whether I would be able to switch my 'event brain' off and just be the bride and thanks to the incredible Doggart & Squash team that ran our day I was able to do just that, which meant I loved every single part of the day! Our band (LDN Showband) were better than I could have ever imagined so the after dinner reception was definitely a highlight for me. I don't think people left the dancefloor until the end!

Molly's Advice

Enjoy every moment, everything works out in the end. Accept people's help too as you do not need to be doing it all on your own! In terms of dresses - trust the team at Miss Bush as my dress was not at all what I thought I would end up with and thanks to Corinne convincing me to try it on I ended up with the most incredible dress.
