We're delighted to share Joanna & Mark's gorgeous destination wedding with you today, which took place at Finca son Mir, Mallorca, in glorious late Summer. The day took place mostly outdoors, against the most stunning backdrop of Mallorcan countryside, featuring chic classic styling with tons of beautiful flowers, crisp white linens and romantic floral details.
Joanna wore the aptly named 'Summer' dress from Suzanne Neville, which couldn't have been more perfect for a day celebrating beneath the stunning Spanish sunshine. Joanna loved the gown for its wide, elegant neckline, floaty skirt and stunning floral textured fabric. To accessorise her look, Joanna paired the dress with an incredible veil covered in delicate 3D flowers.

Suzanne Neville Summer wedding dress
I chose Suzanne Neville, Summer. I adored it from the start due to the flattering fit with the corseted waist and the very big flowing skirt. I loved wearing the long skirt and train in particular on the day, it felt so glamorous and beautiful, it was so much fun to dance in and the movement of the material when I walked and danced was stunning. I also chose it due to the "Brigitte Bardot" esque neckline, which was the perfect mix for me from off the shoulder to a traditional strappy dress. It was VERY hot with all the layers wearing it in Mallorca, but no one could tell my legs were sweating underneath. I also loved how the thin top layer caught the light and the painted on flowers were stunning. Many people told me it was the nicest dress they'd ever seen! (do they say this to all brides?!)
Dress Shopping
I brought my mum and maid of honour Eve with me. They both cried just like in a film and we all knew it was the one immediately!
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was trying on all the dresses of different styles, I could have done this all day! So many fun looks from the more sport-luxe to the 3D flowers. I felt mine was the perfect in between.
I also wanted a very specific veil with 3D flowers on it to match my dress, but not the exact Jesus Periro one which was sold. Miss Bush came up with creative ideas of cutting out flowers to go on a plain veil, and tirelessly answered my questions and discussed the different options with me!
Styling
I wore a beautiful veil with handsewn on 3D flowers, which fitted the romantic look of our garden wedding in Mallorca perfectly. This was very long (very very long!) and glamorous, I adored wearing a veil a bit different. For the dinner onwards I took out the veil and had some white flowers in my hair, and did an earring change from diamond studs to some more party dangly earrings from Amelie George "Willow". My shoes were a nightmare as the original ones broke a month before and I live abroad so away from my dress for for the length! I got some silver sparkly ones from Philip Hardy just a week before but they were perfect in the end.
About the Day
The day was all outdoors, inspired by the beautiful Mallorcan countryside. Our flowers went from white in the ceremony, to light pinks in the bouquets to bright pops of pinks, corals and greens on the dinner tables. We had lots of hanging festoon lighting over the dinner tables and an outdoor dance floor to make the most of the summery vibes. The lawns were surrounded by very tall palm trees and we had boho look lounge sets for the drinks reception, with Aperol Spritz and canapes with a Spanish theme. The overall theme was summery and floral - the bridesmaid dresses were pink floral Jenny Yoo which complimented the whole look perfectly. We were so lucky to have an incredible pinky-orange sunset you just couldn't have planned!
The best bits
We had a live singer / pianist and saxophonist who played in the ceremony and dinner who we had met 8 years ago in Sweden on holiday, and I had kept his business card as he had asked me to play at our wedding if we ever got married! At the dinner everyone got up and danced throughout and some of the songs were very emotional and meaningful to us. The whole day was incredible, full of so much love and positive energy, as everyone was in the holiday mindset, but the music and dancing during the dinner and afterwards were the highlight.
Joanna's Advice
Remember to enjoy the process rather than seeing it as a chore. For once just go with your heart over your head your intuition will be right and get your bridesmaids to help!
