Katie's lovely wedding has us dreaming of sunnier days, with its idyllic country house location, elegant styling and romantic Golden Hour portraits with husband, Liam.
The wedding took place at the beautiful Slaughter Manor House in the Cotswolds, with Katie opting for a classic, perfectly cut Suzanne Neville Cavetto wedding dress which was just perfect for the timeless feel of the day.

Suzanne Neville Cavetto wedding dress
I loved how the dress fit my shape and 'nipped' me in on the waist. I have always been someone who is on a constant diet and was worried that I would feel fat on my wedding day and not confident. The dress was a dream to wear. Easy (ish) to put on with a little help plus it was comfortable. I loved the 'classic' look it gave me if I were to do it all again tomorrow I would still choose the same dress.
I brought my Mum, Nan, Sister (maid of honour) and Auntie. They all had a few tears when they realised I had found 'the one'.
Dress Shopping
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was being in the relaxed environment and having the shop to myself. This made me feel really special. Emma was great and actually choose my dress. As soon as I tried it on I knew what she meant about its shape fitting 'my body'. There was no pressure to 'hurry up' which I loved. My family were happy and comfortable with their glass of bubbly which also put my mind at ease. I only went to one dress shop and overall I tried on around 5 dresses. I feel doing my homework before hand made the process easier / more enjoyable. Also I didn't put too much pressure on myself to find 'the one' straight away.
Styling
My style was very simple / classic. I didn't want a dress with much 'fuss' and I opted for no lace / beading etc. I wanted a 'clean cut' which suited my shape. I was looking for a dress which looked timeless which I believe I found. Shoes were Ted baker Ivory peep toe with a bow. No accessories ( apart from a simple bracelet given to me by my siblings on the morning of my wedding (Tiffany with 3 infinity signs) + a pair of simple stud earrings).
An elegant country house wedding
: I just wanted the day to say 'classic English wedding'. We opted for a quaint village church in the heart of the Cotswolds with a stunning manor house venue( added bonus was the venue was next door to the church so no one had to drive ).
We fell in love with the venue as it was a classic manor house with a modern twist ( wall art included Beatles / Sex Pistol images) etc. We tried really hard to get the right balance between old / new styles. It was the only venue we looked at. We found it online and decided to pop past during our first ever weekend visit to the Cotswolds.
We are both from London and wanted to choose a pretty English countryside venue where our friends and family could escape to for the weekend and make memories that would last a life time.
The best bits
I had 2 favourite parts. One was when my Dad walked in and saw me in my dress for the first time. The second was seeing Liam in the Church for the first time ( sounds cheesy).
Katie's Advice
Just remember that getting married is a celebration of your relationship and that you should try not to get too stressed / upset about anything. Enjoy every moment! Remember - You will never please everyone so as long as you and your partner are happy that is the main thing!
When looking for a dress I would advise doing some homework before trying any on. Screen shot some pictures to show the dress shop so they can have a clear idea about what your looking for. I would also go through some photos you like of yourself and look at what you were wearing and pin point what it was about that item that made you feel confident. Rather than focus on what you don't like about your body choose two / three things you love about your body and focus on that when looking for a dress..
