Our lovely bride, Laura, has shared her intimate festive Surrey wedding with us today, which took place at The Bingham Hotel in Richmond, 3 days before Christmas last year.
The wedding was the beautiful celebration of Laura and Mark’s relationship, with a sprinkle of festive magic in keeping with the season, and we’re delighted to share the images by Victoria Somerset-How Photography with you today.
JESUS PEIRO 8004
Laura wore a very special version of Jesus Peiro’s 8004 gown. Whilst this dress usually comes with a full structured ballgown skirt, Laura opted for a sleeker, more fitted skirt, softly flaring out into a gentle train. Laura tells us more about her dress shopping journey;
“I absolutely loved the style of the Jesus Peiro wedding collection. For our special day my heart settled on a bespoke Jesus Peiro wedding gown. I fell in love with the beautiful lace bodice coupled with the long sleeves on the Jesus Peiro 8004. The full structured skirt, although very glamorous, just didn’t feel like me. The creative team at Miss Bush worked with me to find the perfect skirt and we combined the style of the Jesus Peiro 8076, minus the lace to become the bottom half of my perfect dress.
I loved the long sleeves for winter, and the sheer lace coupled with the low back made it feel like a fun, modern, yet elegant dress to wear for our Christmas winter wedding!
DRESS SHOPPING
There were plenty of Face Time sessions with my sister in Seattle and my Mum in Shropshire. We had to use our imagination a little until the dress finally arrived but when it did they both absolutely loved it.”
The setting of the Miss Bush bridal boutique is stunning. I loved the relaxed atmosphere in the beautiful big room and ultimately, I trusted the advice & instinct of Emma and her team. I knew I was taking a risk ordering a bespoke dress that I couldn’t properly try on until I had it ordered and made but I knew I could trust the advice and expertise from the girls at Miss Bush and it was just so exciting to be involved in the process!”
STYLING
“I styled my look very much around the dress, there was a lot going on with the lace top & sleeves so I kept my hair and make up simple. I wore some Astrid & Miyu diamond circle stud earrings, a beautiful yet simple long veil, & some gold court LK Bennett shoes which added a very subtle sparkle for the festive season! My most important and most loved accessory, however, was my 17 month old daughter & flower girl.”
A FESTIVE SURREY WEDDING AT THE BINGHAM
Taking place just days before Christmas, Laura and Mark took advantage of the stunning decorations at their venue, and added their own touches with festive foliage and magical twinkling fairy lights. Laura goes into more detail about the inspiration behind their styling, and reminisces about some of the most special moments;
“The Bingham was beautifully decorated for Christmas with plenty of festive lights, candles and elegant Christmas decorations. We had the ceremony room ceiling covered with big round fairy bulbs and dressed with green foliage across the entire ceiling. The wedding breakfast tables were kept simple with gold cracked flower bowls holding big white hydrangeas & roses and small cracked gold tea lights with Diptyque Baies candles scattered across the room and Top table.”
THE BEST BITS
“The absolute best bit for us was celebrating and having all our combined family and friends all together in one place. Life gets so busy that it’s rare to have absolutely everyone you both love all together in one place. We had the added bonus of getting married just before Christmas so we got to celebrate the festive season and see the year out partying with the people who mean the world to us.”
