Lily and Robbie's wonderful wedding day took place in July, with a traditional ceremony at St Mary’s Church, Yapton, followed by a relaxed, modern reception at Bury Manor Barn, a stunning Tudor barn in Pulborough.
Lily wore the Jesus Peiro 2214 Miss Bush special wedding dress which is a combination of styles 2236, 2214 and 200. The final dress features bold puff sleeves alongside a fitted bodice, chic square neckline and romantic full skirt. Lily chose to have her dress made from crisp silk mikado fabric for a contemporary finish, and also opted for buttons all the way to the end of the train. To style her dress Lily kept things simple, adding a delicate veil, and a beautiful pair of sapphire earrings which belonged to her late Grandmother.

Jesus Peiro 2214 wedding dress
I first saw this dress online and instantly loved it. I had a vision in mind and knew I wanted plain thick fabric with sleeves and a full skirt. Upon trying this dress I was absolutely blown away, it was simply breath taking. I just fell in love with the structure of the dress. It was the traditional look I had hoped for with a modern and young twist, I felt like a bride.
I brought my mum with me to the appointment. As soon as I came out in the dress I just knew it was the one from her reaction. She was almost taken aback, she had no words but her eyes were just full of emotion. Her reaction made me love it even more.
Dress Shopping
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was absolutely everything; I couldn’t choose. The whole experience was just amazing. From the initial appointment with Corrine, I felt at ease and comfortable, I knew I was in good hands. Miss bush was the bridal boutique I had been long looking for.
I had no problems or issues during dress shopping. Nothing was any trouble, I wanted to add buttons down the entire train of the dress and also on the sleeves to make it unique to me.
Styling
I styled my look with a simple veil, I didn’t want to take away from the structure of the dress. The dress was a vision by itself so was completed nicely with the plain veil.
I wore my late granny’s diamond sapphire earrings which kept the look traditional. I wore flat shoes with a pointed toe and diamanté bow embellishment. The were the perfect twist of comfortable and stylish.
A traditional but modern Bury Manor Barn wedding
My theme was traditional but with a modern twist. I wanted a traditional church wedding and had the ceremony at the same church where my parents got married and my grandparents got married. It is an early English church dating from circa 1180. It perfectly fitted the traditional English theme I wanted.
The reception was followed in a stunning Tudor barn, set in the rural village of Bury. It was the first venue we viewed and with just fell in love the quaint building. It was beautiful.
The best bits
My favourite part of the day was walking down the aisle. Every girl dreams of this moment and I just enjoyed it so much. I felt the best version of myself in my dress, surrounded by all my favourite people. It was just so intimate and warm.
Lily's Advice
I was quite lucky, I think I know my style quite well which helped me with my dress shopping. I would say be open, even though I knew wanted I still tried on every style to confirm what I didn’t like. Everything looks different of the hanger to what it looks like on, so try everything on.
Remember it’s your wedding day so choose the things that you want and the things that make you happy.
