We're off to Tuscany today for Nicola and Dane's chic and romantic wedding amongst the vines at Castello il Palagio. Nicola wore an elegant combination of two of our favourite Suzanne Neville wedding dresses, opting for the graceful pleated skirt from Nouveau below Orianna's simple, elegant off the shoulder neckline.

Bespoke Suzanne Neville wedding dress
My wedding dress was a combination of Suzanne Neville's 'nouveau' and 'orianna'. I had loved the pleats on Nouveau from seeing it in my first ever appointment at Miss Bush, however the top wasn't quite right for me. After lots of to-ing and fro-ing, even almost settling on another dress, I tried on oriana and the combination just felt so me and exactly the kind of thing I wanted to wear on my wedding day. I was so sad to take it off after each fitting so putting it on the morning of my wedding and getting to wear it all day was a dream! I felt comfortable, myself but most importantly absolutely amazing! I also received so many compliments on the dress through the day which was wonderful.
Dress Shopping
My Mum came with me to all my appointments, she knows my style, will always be completely honest and can also read my reactions well. I also had several bridesmaids with me when I first tried on nouveau and although they loved it, they preferred a different dress, but through this process I realised how important it is to choose the dress that is YOUR favourite, not necessarily everyone else's.
I loved getting to try on so many amazing dresses! I think I found it so hard to make a decision on one because there were just so many that were absolutely stunning. All the dresses in Miss Bush are so incredibly made, with fantastic support/ corsetry and in the most beautiful materials so they all made me feel like a princess. The assistance from Rosie was also brilliant. She was so patient, calm and knowledgable, she actually chose the nouveau dress for me to try.
Styling
I chose a ribbon edged veil which really complimented the dress. I had been very keen to have some sparkle and considered a headband but in the end went for the simpler look for the day. One of my bridesmaids had worn a jewelled Suzanne Neville belt to her wedding which she extremely kindly leant to me to change the look for the evening, I was very lucky!
A romantic wedding in Tuscany
I had always dreamt of getting married in Tuscany as my Great Grandparents are from there and it makes for the most beautiful setting. We got married in a gorgeous castle with the ceremony and reception drinks looking over the vineyards and the dinner and dancing in the open air courtyard. We included lots of Italian moments, such as coming into the courtyard to 'That's Amore'. The courtyard was beautiful already so our tables had quite a clean look, but we had strings of fairy lights across the open roof and candles on all the tables. Calligraphy was made by the very talented Ellie from ERA Calligraphy.
The best bits
The dancing! We had the most amazing sax player who created an incredible atmosphere and everyone was on the dance floor the entire time, it was amazing!
Nicola's Advice
Trust in the professionals when dress buying - they really know what they are talking about! Go with your gut on the dress that feels right for you, not the one everyone else likes.
