Suzanne Neville Geddes wedding dress
I wore Suzanne Neville - Geddes. I loved the back of the dress & the long sleeves, I wanted a look like an 'Italian bride' due to my heritage - it made me feel very elegant.
And also, just a little bit different, which is exactly what I wanted - a simple dress, but with that wow factor, and that is certainly the reaction I got from our guests on our wedding day.
I took my Mother, Maid of honour & one of my bridesmaids with me, I tried on many dresses that day but the Suzanne Neville Geddes one was the only one that got the best reaction
Dress Shopping
My favourite part of the experience was just the relationship I gained with Emma and Jo. They were so fantastic. Emma helped me find the dress and being so accommodating with how I just couldn't decide on which dress.
I also loved working with Jo to change the dress to fit my style. She was very good with how I didn't want all my lumps and bumps showing and also that I couldn't wear a bra, she was so brilliant from start to finish. She's incredible. Thank you everyone at Miss Bush.
Styling
I tried to keep it simple and elegant. On the morning of the wedding my Husband gave my mum a present for me which was a lovely pair of earrings that matched my engagement ring.
I wore Gucci leather pumps, which when I practised with them the day before I actually thought where going to kill my feet as the heel was very high, but infact I found the shoes very comfy and didn't take them off all day/night, until the last hour when we provided the guests with flip flops.
A relaxed, personal barn wedding
We went with a rose gold & hexagon theme. For our favours and our feature wall my dad designed a wooden hexagon which we made into a polaroid station, which was a winner with all the guests.
We also named our tables after biscuits and all guests had the pack of biscuits on the table - that was also a hit with the guests.
The best bits
Walking down the aisle with my dad has to be one of the most amazing thing. & also The speeches - Father of the bride, Groom and Best Man had the whole room laughing and crying.
Seeing everyone you love in one room having a good time is so precious and meant the world to us.
Olivia's Advice
Don't focus on a particular style of dress - I went in wanting lace everywhere and not wanting a veil, look at your body and find a dress that compliments you. You want to feel and look your best self, Emma is amazing dresses that I wouldn't of thought of wearing but she knows from your body what will look amazing,
Love and trust your suppliers - it will make the wedding planning so enjoyable & also make a mood board as your choosing certain things towards the wedding its amazing to look back at.
