Samantha & Sean's wedding took place in mid August at the stunning Villa di Ulignano in Tuscany. The incredible location allowed the wedding to take place mostly outdoors, with a romantic ceremony on the hillside followed by an al fresco reception in the courtyard. The picturesque landscape made from some stunning portraits of the newlyweds, bathed in the golden Tuscan sun.

Samantha chose Suzanne Neville's Amerie wedding dress for the day; a classic, simple and elegant gown which was just perfect for the relaxed nature of the event. She styled her look effortlessly with her hair in natural waves, timeless gold jewellery and a bouquet in shades of rich rust and antique bronze. Samantha finished her look with a pair of stunning pearl embellished Amara 45 sandals from Jimmy Choo.

Suzanne Neville Amerie wedding dress

I chose Amerie by Suzanne Neville and it was just perfect. I've never felt more beautiful in my life. So many people commented on the simple beauty of it which is exactly what I wanted from my dress.

I took my Dad with me when I found the dress. Knowing that I had my heart set on Suzanne Neville dress, my Dad went online and wrote down all the names of the dresses and gave them a star rating based on how much he thought they would suit me - he gave Amerie 5/5 stars so it was meant to be! I went back a second time with Sean's Aunt, whose three daughters have all worn Suzanne Neville dresses, and she loved the dress too.

Dress Shopping

My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the lack of pressure - the whole process was a conversation and it never felt as if I was being forced to do anything that made me uncomfortable. It was also great to just try things on that were way out of my comfort zone, even just to rule things out! The whole experience just felt easy and natural.

You kindly allowed me to come back for another fitting when I wasn't sure if I wanted to wear a bra with the dress for extra support and that totally put me at ease. You've also been amazing in fitting around my schedule, with me living in Toronto and only being in the UK certain dates.

Styling

I had a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choos called Amara 45 and they were amazing, so comfortable all day and I will definitely wear them again! To match the pearls on the shoes, I had jewellery from Oliva & Pearl which I loved.

A romantic wedding in Tuscany

Due to COVID and being in a transatlantic relationship, none of our family and friends had met before so we wanted to ensure that it wasn't just a wedding but a week long's celebration. We are also passionate about travel and wanted to share our love of Italy with our nearest and dearest. We also wanted it to be an experience and so we planned lots of surprises for our guests such as an Italian Tenor to burst into song at dinner! Our goal was for people to say that it was the best wedding they'd been to and we succeeded.

The best bits

Oh this is so tough! I loved our sunset photoshoot as it was time for us to process the day together. But the dancefloor was absolutely epic - I've never seen a dancefloor like it!

Samantha's Advice

- Do not change your size to fit into a specific dress - honestly, I'm so glad that I felt like myself on the day without the pressure of losing weight and the team at Miss Bush will ensure you have a dress that flatters you.

- Find suppliers that buy into your vision for the day

- Take 3-4 moments on the day just the two of you to watch the day unfold - you won't regret it!
