We have such a beautiful wedding to share with you today! Sarah and Liam were married in Spring in the grounds of the stunning Tudor mansion Creeksea Place, located in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. The feel of the day was a romantic, fairytale woodland wedding, with natural elements and hints of gold, taking inspiration from the Elven locations in Lord of the Rings.
Sarah's dress choice couldn't have been more perfect for their theme, with ethereal branches covering the bodice and sheer sleeves that wouldn't look out of place in the forests of Lothlórien. Light tulle shoulder sashes and a floaty skirt added to the romantic, fairytale nature of the look.
Sarah styled her outfit with a delicate Miss Clemmie hair piece, and stunning bespoke earrings from Alex Monroe, which contained her mother's diamonds as her 'something old.'

Anna Kara Maya wedding dress
In the end the Anna Kara Maya dress chose me! As soon as I stepped out and saw myself in the mirror in this dress I burst out crying. In my head I was thinking "I didn't realise I could look like that!". From the shimmering branches in the lacework that seemed to grow over my arms and chest to the floating tulle skirt and shoulder straps which made me feel like an elven princess, this dress was more than I could have imagined for my Galadriel inspired look. It was unbelievably comfortable to wear on the day too with an elastic waist that allowed me to eat as much as I wanted on the day!
Dress Shopping
My mum came with me to all of my appointments and seeing her well up at me in the Maya dress was a memory that I will never forget.
My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was the whole ethos and experience that being at Miss Bush installed in me. They promote beauty from the inside out using their gorgeous dresses, accessories and advice to work around YOU as a person. I felt comfortable from the start and was always excited to revisit whether for sample sales, accessory events or fittings.
Styling
Miss Clemmie hair piece made of three separate vine hair pins that my hair stylist wove around a loose bun.
Alex Monroe earrings containing my mother's diamonds as my something old, designed by their bespoke team to match my wedding band and earrings.
Margot Ivory strappy wedding sandals from the Rainbow Club - super comfy and worn all day and night without any issues!
A LOTR inspired Woodland Fairytale wedding in Essex
Our aim from the outset was to create our very own English woodland fairytale, mixing in hints of gold to match the rings and adding fairy lights to the tree-like centrepieces and external trees so they glistened in the evening. We were also heavily inspired by the Elven settings in Lord of the Rings, it being our joint favourite movie (!), so we added in touches of light ashy grey and tulle (enter Maya Dress!) which helped give the day a real timeless, ethereal quality.
The best bits
Our last dance under the outdoor trees with our guests swaying sparklers was truly magical. We really felt the love from our guests in that moment!
Sarah's Advice
First - choose Miss Bush!! They helped with so much more than the dress.
But seriously, do enjoy the ride of it. Work on the details if that's what you like doing (I know I did!) but also remember that you're there to marry the love of your life! Sometimes it's easy to be swept away by every idea you see on instagram but try to block out the noise and remember what it was you wanted to achieve from the start.
