stunning
We're so pleased to share our first real wedding feature of 2025 with you today! We're starting the year as we mean to go on with this joyful explosion of colour from Ellie & Matt, whose modern, stylish wedding took place at The Loft Studios in London.
Ellie wore Suzanne Neville's stunning Degas wedding dress; a strapless satin gown with hidden corsetry and a sleek, fitted silhouette with ruched bodice. Ellie made the dress her own with her grandmother's fabulous choker, a matching pearl bracelet and chic gold sandals.

Suzanne Neville Degas wedding dress
My Mum who I always trust implicitly came to find the dress with me. We tried on loads of different dresses and actually really liked a few but I could tell when I put Degas on that it was the most "me" by the way my Mum looked at me with a huge smile and happy tears.
Dress Shopping
Ben took my appointment and he was a true dream, so knowledgeable and so open. I just trusted him immediately, he made me feel so comfortable. He really understood how intimidating Wedding Dress shopping could be and I knew even before finding Degas that I would find my dress at Miss Bush because of how much they all care. It made all the difference.
And then the whole process of the fitting with Jo was seamless, I was so excited before each fitting and Jo made it so fun! I really appreciated all her knowledge and top tips too and really looked to her as fairy god mother in the whole process
Styling
I styled it with my grandmothers pearl choker with a statement diamond clasp, a small pearl bracelet my Mum gave me the night before the big day, small diamond earrings and Loewe sunglasses. I decided to splurge on the sunnies not the shoes, so had a super comfy gold pair of strappy heels from Office!
Colourful, modern London wedding
We live in Hackney and have always been really obsessed with a club that used to be open in Hackney Wick called Giant Steps. It feels like you are dancing in someones front room but its covered in plants and kitsch old disco ornaments. We decided we wanted our wedding to feel like that and ultimately be more about the party (with a late license) than any traditional formalities of a wedding as we are not super traditional people. When we met Jamie, the Event Director at The Loft, we just knew he got it and he took the idea and ran with it and made it more than we could have ever expected. We had plants everywhere, flowers hanging from the ceiling (thanks to our incredible florist, Jane), disco balls, and the most incredible sound system with a sound technician queuing up the endless playlists for the exact right moments we had briefed him on. Instead of a band we had an amazing DJ Xera Vera, a bongo player and a Sax player with cocktails flowing all night. The food by Doggart & Squash was also out of this world - its been one of the things our guests couldn't stop talking about. The whole day and night was just our idea of a wicked night out and I'm so gutted I can't do it again!
The best bits
The confetti walk - we had 10 confetti canons going off whilst Confidence Man "Feels like a Different Thing" was blasting out, the atmosphere was just insane - never been so happy in my life! And also crowd surfing across the dancefloor!
Ellie's Advice
Dress: Without doubt get it from Miss Bush because they will make a scary process a happy process and one you will want to continue a thousand times over.
Wedding planning: stick to what makes you and your partner happy, if it is true to who you two are then the day will feel like the happiest day of your life.
